I have the tendency of cluttering a image with random and unrelated stuff. It throws the whole picture off. I'm focusing on making my art more 'clean', especially this series of Bloom. I'm learning to embrace the editorial feel of things. Hopefully, when I done with the Bloom series it will read off as one cohesive image.

I was always on the fence on rather to go to art school or study an other field that requires a degree. Even though people say "don't let debt scare you from attending art school", after you graduate you have to deal with the deal with the debt. It is a struggle to find work in the market especially when you have responsibilities (rent, bills, kids, and etc). The cost of going to most art schools in the USA cost more than Yale and Harvard. There is a percentage of graduates that have a fruitful career, but the majority are not as fortunate. The odds didn't make sense to me nor did it cater to my financial needs. I truly believe that all your artist needs can be met from online art schools and local art classes. Based on location it can be harder to learn or improved your art, but the internet is a great source of information. In this video interview Jonathon Fields does a great job exploring the mind of Mr. Bradley. I hope you enjoy this video as much I found this educational. I don't know why, I didn't do this awhile ago. Weebly does have the function to create a blogging platform for me, but I was stubborn to stay on blogger. Two separate sites appealed to me in a nonsense type of way. Now I know nonsense is just plain nonsense.
This site will be used as my main blogging platform. On to the more artsy said of things. I'm doing a series of fashion illustrations that focuses around spring. There's no limit currently just enjoying the good weather in New York. Here's one of the first images, Spring Bloom. I used pencil, ink, and photoshop for the colors. |
